Self-care is just as important as brushing your teeth in the morning. You have to look after yourself mentally, as well as physically. There are a couple of things I like to do when I need to detach from reality and reset.

Now, I know a bath and some fresh air don’t fix all. But sometimes cleaning yourself up a little can make a difference. When a shower feels like the most taxing chore in the world, and you have one and feel even just a little better, then it was worth it.
Treating yourself. I love lip balm; I have millions of them. At least two in every bag, in the car, on the bedside, and then a drawer full of spares. Anyway, sometimes treating myself to a new lip balm can make my day. Or, if I want to relax with some quiet time and a bath, then I buy a new bath bomb. It’s all about the little things.
